Cat Squishy – Free Crochet Pattern
|Cat Squishy – Free Crochet Pattern
I’m so excited to be part of another fun crochet-a-long from CAL Central! This spring is the 2019 Softie Crochet Along, sponsered by Fairfield. Fairfield generously provided polyfill stuffing for all the designers in the CAL – thank you Fairfield!
To see all the great patterns released so far, as well as all the fabulous prizes that are being given away, visit the “mother post” from Marie of Underground Crafter here: 2019 Softie Crochet Along
This cute little cat squishy was designed with the help of my 6 year old. She wanted something small and cute, so she could “squish its little face”. Her words lol.
The larger cats are made using worsted weight yarn and a size 3.5mm crochet hook and measure about 4-1/2” x 4-1/2”. You’ll also need a removable stitch marker to keep track of the first stitch in each row, as well as a needle for putting detail on the face.
If you’re feeling brave, make a “mini” cat by using just a small amount of size 10 thread, and size 1.5mm crochet hook. This one came out so adorable, I think I’m going to turn it into a keychain or zipper pull. It measures about 2” x 2”.
