Scrap Buster Fingerless Gloves – Free Crochet Pattern
|Scrap Buster Fingerless Gloves – Free Crochet Pattern
I’m still scrap busting here at Goddess Crochet. I’d like to say the last few crochet patterns have made a dent in my scrap bag. They must have. Yeah, they did. Ok I’m still staring at a big bag of scraps. On to more patterns then!
These “Scrap Buster” gloves were fun to work on. I enjoy trying to find a different color for each row and making it work somehow. Ultimately, all colors go together really, if you want them to. My only thought about choosing a color was to make it match with the color beneath/above it. Gosh, if I mailed these to Soliel Moonfrye, I wonder if she’d wear them. That’s the actress who played Punky Brewster, for those who are wondering.
The weaving in of tails thing…I know, it’s a pain in the butt. Here are my thoughts on the matter. When you have a massive amount of tails to weave in you can just cut and crochet over an extra long tail at least 6″. If an end peeks out,  its ok to trim it, carefully! If you are a bit of a perfectionist and need to weave in the tails, goodness do NOT wait until the end to do it! Stop every once in a while and turn that sucker inside out, grab your needle and scissors, preffered beverage nearby, and go to town. If you are using 2 or 3 colors you could “float” the unused yarn on the inside and pick it back up when you need it.
