Flying Disc – Free Crochet Pattern
Free Crochet Pattern – Flying Disc
The sun has finally decided to peek it’s head out from behind the rain clouds, so I’m celebrating with this free crochet pattern for fun in the sun. We all know the classic plastic flying disc. Fun, but perhaps a little dangerous if you’re not paying attention, or if you have little children running around. This flying disc is made of yarn, so if you don’t respond fast enough when someone yells “head’s up”, no worries!

I have tried to figure this out all weekend – I am still stumped. I think this flying disc is absolutely fabulous and I have worked 1 up and am working on another smaller 1 for smaller dog. However, I got stumped with the last instruction – “Working through both layers of fabric, whipstitch or backstitch layers together.
Weave in ends.” – Question that stumped me is – should there be another disc to fill in the circle or should I be sewing final edge to front circle? I hope you can clarify for me as I want to make a bunch of these for different family members pets. Thank you for your assistance. WJ
You don’t need another circle, you just want to secure the “folded over” edge part to the disc. It would probably work just fine without the extra step down of sewing the two layers together, I just liked the finished look. I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you need further clarification! Happy hooking,
Joanna
Joanna – that makes perfect sense to me. I sometime over think things. Thank you for your assistance. I shall finish these then watch the kids and pets have fun.
