Triangles Beanie Hat – Link to Free Crochet Pattern
|Free Crochet Pattern – Triangles Beanie
I have effectively turned into a hat factory. A one woman person hat factory, but a hat factory nonetheless. When the summer slowdown hit (low sales, low website views), I decided to focus my attention on the upcoming colder seasons. I mean, who wouldn’t want to crochet a wool hat when it’s 90 degrees out! Part of focusing on the fall and winter months involves hat designing. Patterns I intend to publish for sale go out to pattern testers, and I also test them, each at least 3 times, usually more. The patterns that will be free on my website are also tested, but just by me. Usually 3 or 4 times. So, even though I only have 4 hat designs in the works, I have made no less than a dozen hats so far this month. Whew!
Even after all that, still, I am in hat making mode. But what do you do when you need a break from testing your designs? Make a hat from someone else’s crochet pattern of course! I have been eyeing this free crochet hat pattern, the Triangles Beanie from The Underground Crafter , Marie Segares, for quite some time now. It’s fun, and utilizes tapestry crochet, which I really wanted to practice. One tip I would suggest for this hat and really any tapestry crochet project…untangle your skeins/balls of yarn every once in a while. They get a bit twisted as your carrying and changing colors.
Many thanks to “The Underground Crafter” Marie Segares for sharing the pattern! If you are on Ravelry, click here to add it to your queue: Triangles Beanie Crochet Pattern. Don’t forget to show off your pictures when you’re done too!
If you’d like to purchase the hat instead of making it, you can find it in my Etsy shop here: Triangles Beanie Crochet Hat on Etsy
Thanks for sharing your project – I love the colors! And, great tips about untangling skeins. It can be a nightmare if you wait too long to do it. Have a great weekend!
