Thick and Bumpy Potholder – Free Crochet Pattern
|Necessity is the mother of invention they say. Whoever “they” are…I’m not really sure where that saying comes from. But it’s true!
One of the most useful things I’ve ever made was a cotton potholder. We use it for cleaning and for grabbing hot pans out of the oven, and placing hot casseroles on the table. The first potholder I made was just a simple single crochet square…but I’ve come a ways since then. This “Think and Bumpy” potholder is bumpy with puff stitches on one side, and ribbed on the other. For her pleasure. Actually it’s just for practicality. But it does feel good to the touch.
