The “Non Pixie Hood” – Free Crochet Pattern
|Free Crochet Pattern – Non Pixie Hood
Crochet pixie hoods are really cute, but not everyone wants their hood to come to a point. So for those people, I have the “Non Pixie Hood”. It’s adorable in it’s own right, but curved to fit your noggin, not pointy. Since it’s made with a chunky yarn (one size above worsted) and mostly double crochet stitches, it works up fairly quickly. If you are new to crochet don’t be intimidated to try this one – it’s really easy!
Enjoy and happy hooking!

Been on the hunt to find a non pointed pixie hoodie and here it is. This should work up in no time at all.

I love this colorful yarn, can you please tell me what kind and brand it is?
TIA!!!
Hi Christa. The yarn is Plymouth brand “paints”, chunky.
I am new to crochet so excuse me if I am being dim but the pattern starts with chain 30 then a few rows later there are almost double that amount of stitches and I can’t see where they were increased? Can someone please help. Now starting pattern for 3rd attempt 🙁
There are increases on every row. On the first row you increase when you put 3 single crochets in the last chain. Then you work down the back/other side of the chain.
On the second row you increase by putting 2 stitches in the middle/center 3 stitches that round the top.
Wherever you see 2 DC in stitch you’ll be putting two double crochet in one stitch. Those are your increased.
Hope that helps!
Happy hooking!
